SOC 2 Services Offered for users of Microsoft Azure’s Cloud Platform
Azure SOC 2 Scoping & Readiness Assessments
Auditing the cloud is much different than auditing traditional on-premise environments. Additionally, auditing Microsoft Azure is also different from auditing AWS and GCP. Because of this, it’s imperative to begin with a SOC 2 Scoping & Readiness Assessment, one performed by competent and capable auditors. With NDB, our staff has years of experience auditing clients that use Microsoft Azure. We know Azure inside and out, and we know what needs to be in place for a SOC 2 audit.
Benefits of performing a SOC 2 Scoping & Readiness Assessment with NDB consist of the following
- Identifying and confirming audit scope.
- Identifying, confirming, and putting in a plan of action for remediating noted gaps and deficiencies within one’s control environment.

Azure Security Policy Writing
Every service organization undertaking SOC 2 compliance will need to have a robust set of information security policies and procedures in place. This can be a time-consuming and laborious process. Luckily, NDB specializes in policy and procedures writing, and we even offer clients a complimentary SOC 2 Policy Packet. When clients look back at the overall SOC 2 auditing process, they often speak about the immense time and efforts that would have been needed for policy development if it were not for NDB’s SOC 2 Policy Packet. Bottom line – documentation writing can be incredibly taxing, so turn to the proven, trusted experts at NDB.
SOC 2 Type 1 Audits
If you’re new to the world of SOC 2 auditing, then beginning one’s compliance endeavors with a SOC 2 Type 1 assessment is highly recommended. Type 1 audits are for a point in time, such as August 31, 20xx, and do not test the operating effectiveness of internal controls. NDB offers fixed-fee pricing for SOC 2 Type 1 audits for service organizations all throughout the country.
SOC 2 Type 2 Audits
SOC 2 Type 2 audits are assessments performed over a prescribed test period, generally six (6) months, but can be as long as a year. The key difference between a Type 1 audit and a Type 2 audit is that Type 2 audits actually assess and test the operating effectiveness of one’s internal controls over the prescribed test period. This creates a more valuable report for end-users.
